Friday, May 2
5:00 -7:00 pm SS United States exhibit dedication and cocktail reception
Join us for a festive cocktail reception and dedication of an exciting new exhibit designed and installed by the SS United States Conservancy highlighting the history of the Big U, including fabulous photographs and vintage memorabilia. Dinner is on your own.
Saturday, May 3
10:00 am-4:00 pm 5th Annual SS United States Seminar and Conference
Join us for an exciting line-up of presentations! Speakers will include:
· Bill Miller, renowned maritime historian and author, speaking about the SS United States
· Greg Norris, maritime expert, on the "Race for the Blue Riband"
· Bruce Vancil, Queen Mary Foundation, on the preservation of the Queen Mary
· Susan Gibbs, granddaughter of William Francis Gibbs, reading from her book manuscript, "Secrets at Sea"
· Mark Perry, film producer, showing exciting scenes that will be in included as "DVD Extras" from "Lady in Waiting"

6:30 pm - World premiere of "SS United States: Lady in Waiting" - in glorious High Definition!

Served buffet-style, the brunch offers more than 50 entrees offering menu selections from around the world. Please note: brunch is not included as part of the registration fees of the Annual Meeting celebration.

The SS United States Conservancy is delighted to welcome noted maritime historian and author Bill Miller aboard for its 5th Annual Meeting! Join Bill as he offers an informative presentation on the magnificent SS United States and regales participants with fascinating behind the scenes tales of America's First Lady of the Seas. Author of over 65 books, 1000 articles and with over 300 sea voyages behind him, Mr. Miller will delight participants in his own inimitable style! SS United States Documentary to Premiere on Public Television

"SS United States: Lady in Waiting" which is set to begin airing nationwide in May 2008. This ground- breaking film was produced by Big Ship Films in cooperation with the SS United States Conservancy, and will be available on DVD (with bonus material) in conjunction with its public television premiere.
